I bought both this Graco color video monitor and the Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color video hand-held monitor 1.8″. I had to test each one alone (not both running at the same time, because they interfered with each other’s reception). The Summer worked better as described below: They booth worked pretty well, but the Graco was not really showing the color, even in broad daylight next to a sunny window with bright colors on my test subject (my husband), whereas the Summer had great color. Also I asked him to take some deep breaths: Graco didn’t show the movement in his chest, but the Summer monitor did. I walked across our house, out the garage, down the driveway, across the street, and into our neighbor’s driveway with each hand-held monitor. The Graco lost reception at the garage door of our house (about half a soccer field length away). The Summer still had reception at our neighbor’s drive way (about one soccer field away from the video monitor). We have wireless internet and 5.8 GHz phones and had no interception problems with either monitor. I would not have been unsatisfied with the Graco, but the Summer was much better.

This is the best baby monitor you can buy. The audio quality is excellent, but the real deal is the movement sensor. I am able to sleep soundly knowing that my baby is breathing/moving through the night. The parents’ units have a movement indicator. If you forget to turn off the monitor when you remove your child from the crib (or if the child stops breathing/moving), a loud alarm sounds. It definitely works and our whole family is impressed. I would have paid untold sums of money for the peace of mind this monitor gives. It’s a bargain!

I originally got this model because it operates on the 49 MHz band, so it won’t interfere with (or receive interference from) wireless internet and microwaves, both of which operate in the 2.4 GHz band (and are ubiquitous in the urban apartment buildings I live). I found the range to be great (I can get good reception two floors and some distance away), and I have had no interference from anything. The receiving end works either with batteries or from a wall outlet, so it can be either portable or stationary, and change at a moments notice. Overall a great unit at a very good price.

I have been through a few monitors over the last 10 years. This one works well, but one unit has a slight hum to it, which may just be my house. I would rec this monitor to a friend.

I absolutely love this monitor. Now I can see what my grandson is doing while he is in his room. Before I could only here the noises and would wonder all the time. What was that noise? Now I know. The picture is pretty clear and only a second or two off. The noise is clear too.

This monitor is great! A friend of mine has one and my husband and I loved it. When the opportunity arose for us to buy this, we took advantage of it! The hardest thing about setting it up for us was where to put the camera for the best view of the crib. Our nursery is small and wider than it is deep with low ceilings, so it took some work, but we got it to work beautifully for us. The color setting during the day is really cool and being able to see him at night is just what we needed…I would recommend this monitor to anybody that can afford it or has some Amazon.com gift cards (like we did). It is worth the cost!

This product works as expected. In a neighborhood with a lot of WiFi, i get no interference issues. The one time i did get some static, it turned out that my iphone was too close and was actually transmitting. I moved the phone further away and all was well again.

Have been using for 4 years, practically non-stop and it works fantastic. People are right, no frills. I have only had interference (heard someones cell or walkie talkie) twice. YOu can hear everything your kid is doing. Takes wear and tear well too. Seems very very durable
